Vista Field Fly-In

Vista Field
Kennewick, WA

The New Year will start on a sad note for Northwest aviators and aviation enthusiasts.  After 70 years, Kennewick's Vista Field will close on December 31, 2013.  To say their good-byes to our neighborhood airport, a number of local pilots are planning a fly-in on Saturday, December 28, 2013.  If you like to watch airplanes, you should hang out at Vista Field next Saturday for an unofficial air show.

Veteran's Day...with Honors

Aerial photos of the Regional Veteran's Memorial, Columbia Park, Kennewick, WA

On June 4, 1926, Congress passed a resolution that the "recurring anniversary of [November 11, 1918] should be commemorated with thanksgiving and prayer and exercises designed to perpetuate peace through good will and mutual understanding between nations."

I appreciate living in a community that respects and honors those who serve, and have served, our nation.  Thank you Veterans!

Cool Desert Nights

This is a classic summer weekend in the Tri-Cities.  Classic cars fill the Uptown and cruise G.W.Way at Richland's Cool Desert Nights.  Classic airplanes from around the region gathered today at the Richland Airport Fly-In along with airplane rides for the kids.  What a great place to live!
